Clicks Communicator Brings Back The BlackBerry Experience With A Smart Keyboard

Clicks Communicator brings to mind the classic BlackBerry phone experience, targeting users nostalgic for the days of a physical keyboard and a focus on productivity. The new phone comes from Clicks, known for its Clicks Keyboard for iPhones, and was officially announced before the start of CES 2026.

Clicks Communicator relies on a touch-sensitive physical keyboard, combined with a 4.03-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 1200 pixels. The keyboard allows traditional writing, in addition to using it to navigate within the interface, and move between messages and web pages easily via touch.

The phone runs on Android 16 with the custom Niagara Launcher interface, which focuses on quick access to messaging and productivity applications such as WhatsApp, Slack, Telegram, and Gmail, with the ability to download any application from the Google Play Store.

The phone includes a distinctive element known as Signal Light, which is a notification light built around a side button on the right side. The user can customize different colors and styles of notifications depending on the app or contact. The same button can also be used for voice dictation or quick recording of voice notes.

In terms of photography, the Clicks Communicator comes with a single 50-megapixel rear camera with OIS and LED flash, while the front houses a 24-megapixel selfie camera.

The phone is equipped with a 4000 mAh silicon-carbon battery, and supports Qi2 wireless charging along with a USB-C port. It also retains a 3.5 mm port for headphones, and supports two SIM cards with 5G networks, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and dual-band Wi-Fi 6. It comes with an internal storage capacity of 256 GB with support for MicroSD cards.

The phone weighs 170 grams and is 12 mm thick. Additional features include a physical Kill Switch on the frame, a customizable Clicks button for shortcuts, and a 4nm MediaTek processor. The phone also supports replaceable back covers, available in several colors.

The Clicks Communicator phone is scheduled to start shipping later this year, with an official price of $499, while early reservers can currently reserve the phone for a discounted price of $399. The phone will be available in three colors: Clover, Onyx, and Smoke. See also: Launch of the luxury Motorola Signature phone.
