Christina Haack On Ex Josh Hall’s Response To Her Opening Up About Divorce

Christina Haack isn’t afraid to respond to her ex-husband Josh Hall‘s online comments.

Hall seemingly reacted to his former wife’s PEOPLE cover story published earlier this month by sharing a quote about “liars” on his Instagram Stories that read, “Never argue with liars. You can’t win, because they believe their own lies.”

The text image was shared on Wednesday, Oct. 1, with Chuck Brodsky’s “Liar Liar, Pants on Fire” playing in the background.

In an interview with Page Six’s Virtual Real-Tea published on Wednesday, Oct. 15, Haack said she now ignores Hall’s posts because “I don’t even care.”

“I don’t lie,” said Haack. “For a person that claims that they don’t want any attention, if it were me and I wasn’t in the public eye, I would create a private Instagram account and not be public, and then you don’t have to worry about it, and then just don’t read the news. That’s what I would do.”

Speaking about Hall’s use of an “inspirational” quote to seemingly respond to her PEOPLE cover story, the Hidden Key founder said, “For someone that claims to be so masculine, maybe that’s not so masculine.”

The former couple married in 2021 and Hall filed for divorce due to “irreconcilable differences” in July 2024. In August, Hall announced that their divorce had been finalized.

Haack claimed in her PEOPLE cover story that Hall “threw the ring in the pool” the first time he proposed at her former home in Dana Point, Calif.because she initially said “no.”

“The first time he proposed I said no, and he threw the ring in the pool,” she said. “That was probably red flag number one. I don’t think anyone’s ever heard that story before. Sorry. It’s true.”

Haack told PEOPLE she denied him at first because they “weren’t getting along super great even then, off and on.”

“When things were good, they were good, but it just felt like I wasn’t quite ready and so I just said, ‘This is not the right time,’” the HGTV star said. “I don’t remember exactly what I said, but he had the patio decorated and he threw it in the pool.”

A representative for Hall shared in a statement to PEOPLE that “Josh has no clue what Christina is talking about.”

Haack is now dating Network Connex CEO and president Chris Larocca. The two marked their one-year anniversary earlier this month. Hall, meanwhile, is dating model Stephanie Gabrys.
