In the second half, England increased its lead with an own goal scored by Latvian player Maximus Tunicevits by mistake in the 58th minute, and Ebereci Eze completed the scoring in the 86th minute.

The English team raised its score to 18 points, achieving the full mark with 6 consecutive victories, to secure the lead, 7 points ahead of Albania, the second-placed team, two rounds before the end of this stage next November.

As for the Latvian national team, its score froze at 5 points in fourth place after a fourth loss, compared to two draws and one win.

The England national team qualified for the World Cup for the 17th time in its history and the eighth in a row since it reached the 1998 World Cup in France, noting that it achieved the title only once in the 1966 World Cup, which it hosted on its soil.
