In a series of videos posted to Instagram on Oct. 12 and 13, the creator revealed that he had been diagnosed with HIV over the summer after losing his ability to walk.
“Life been trying to take me out lately,” Mannie told his followers in a video taken in the hospital.
The internet star — who is best known online for his alter ego “Boss and CEO” and a viral clip telling his followers “you have been promoted” — has a following of 1.5 million people on TikTok and an additional 384,000 on Instagram.

In Mannie’s health update, he said that after receiving treatment, he was “feeling way better.”
“I feel like me,” shared the TikToker. “I feel like the Boss and CEO, so can’t wait to bring her back you guys.”
Still, Mannie said that his medication costs roughly $4,000 per month, and he shared a GoFundMe link to help raise money for his treatments. The fundraiser has amassed over $12,000 since it was opened on Saturday.

“I’m in rehab still learning to walk,” he shared in a follow-up video. “I’m not good yet, but I can at least stand up.”
Continued Mannie: “Thank y’all so much. Every little donation — the fives, the big hundreds… I don’t know what to say. All I know is that I’m going to have a better future because of this.”
